Event Description This mandatory, basic half-day course, is for BCP staff whose work brings them into frequent contact with Adults, i.e. Reception and admin staff in customer facing services, housing officers, librarians, leisure service staff, those involved in financial assessment and those with a presence in communities.

Aim: Participants will receive an overview of safeguarding adults and know their role within local processes.

This session will be run virtually and can be accessed at work or from home.

The following is required to participate fully in this session:

•An online device (with webcam/speakers/mic) plus a reliable broadband/wi-fi connection

• A quiet area

Delegates will be emailed a link to join the session closer to the course date. The link will be emailed to the email address that is on their CPD Online account. If the link needs to be emailed to a personal email address please include this in the ‘special requirements' box when requesting a place.

Delegates need to allow enough time to log on to MS Teams/Zoom to be ready for the course to start promptly at 9.00am when it will be locked. Any late arrivals will not be able to enter.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: If a delegate does not have the necessary IT equipment to participate fully, is late logging on to a session or is unable to participate on the day, we will ask them to rebook on a future date.

Please note:
- Staff working predominantly with Adults, i.e. frontline staff, need to attend the 1/2 day 'Safeguarding Adults Awareness' course rather than this course.
