Event Description BCP Council is offering a programme of interactive online 'Rapid Induction' awareness sessions for new adult social care staff

These sessions comply with CQC requirements and allow staff to demonstrate they are safe to work in an Adult Social Care setting.

This half day session covers the following:

• AWARENESS OF MENTAL HEALTH
• DEMENTIA AND LEARNING DISABILITIES
• FLUIDS AND NUTRITION

This interactive training is offered via Zoom and can be accessed from an online device at work or from home - ideally a desktop computer, laptop or tablet

The following is required to participate fully in this session:

• An online device (inc webcam/speakers/microphone/headset) plus a reliable wi-fi connection
• Access to Zoom
• A quiet area and notebook & pen
• Delegate name and email address must be provided (work or personal). A Zoom meeting link will be e-mailed directly to the delegate to enable them join the session

Delegates will need to click on the e-mailed link at least 15 mins prior to the start time so the course can start promptly (the session will be locked after the course has started so latecomers will not be able to join)

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:

1) If a delegate does not have the necessary IT equipment to participate fully, is late logging on to a session or is unable to participate on the day*, we will ask them to rebook on a future date. * Please cancel bookings if a delegate is no longer available by logging into CPD Online

2) There will be a requirement for care managers to oversee workbook completion, workplace observations and match new staff with experienced colleagues to enable shadowing of daily activities.

3) Further half day events are available to book via CPD Online and can be attended in any order - see Event Outcomes for a full list. Each session is an introduction to the full Care Certificate training.

4) Please read the attachments as they provide important information relating to this training. 
Event Outcomes Participation on all sessions is highly recommended however those marked with an asterisk ensure compliance with CQC requirements:
