Event Description The Care Quality Commission (CQC) requires care providers to have a formal system to assess staff competence to administer medication. In this workshop we will assess your competence to assess others administering a range of common dosage forms.


We are currently running this as a blended course featuring the following:

• An online course covering how to administer medicines systematically
• An online virtual medicines round competence assessment
• Two 2 hour live webinars on 9 & 23 February 2021 10.00-12.00
• A final online assessment

The following is required to participate fully in this session:•An online device (with webcam/speakers/mic) plus a reliable broadband/wi-fi connection • A quiet area Delegates will be emailed a link to join the session closer to the course date. The link will be emailed to the email address that is on their CPD Online account. If the link needs to be emailed to a personal email address please include this in the ‘special requirements' box when requesting a place. Delegates need to allow enough time to log on and to be ready for the course to start promptly after which it will be locked. Any late arrivals will not be able to enter.IMPORTANT INFORMATION: If a delegate does not have the necessary IT equipment to participate fully, is late logging on to a session or is unable to participate on the day, we will ask them to rebook on a future date.

We will charge a full course fee for any booked delegate who gives less than seven calendar days' notice of a cancellation, or who does not attend on the day of the course

Course Cost £ 40 
Event Charges Notes The course fee for Non-Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole (BCP) staff is £40 per delegate. The course is subsidised for staff in BCP Adult Social Care - Services, and Commissioning The course fee for other BCP service units is £40 per delegate.
