Event Description FREE Priority Training for new Adult Social Care staff

Efficient staff recruitment and training is vital during the current Covid-19 pandemic. BCP Council is offering a programme of interactive online 'priority training' sessions for new staff working in the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole areas. These sessions comply with CQC requirements and allow staff to demonstrate they are safe to practice in an Adult Social Care setting.

This half day session covers the following:

• SAFEGUARDING ADULTS (for new care staff)

This interactive training is offered via Microsoft Teams/Zoom and can be accessed at work or from home.

The following is required to participate fully in this session:

• An online device (with web cam/speakers/mic) plus a reliable broadband/wi-fi connection
• Access to Microsoft Teams/Zoom
• A quiet area
• Delegate name and email address must be provided (work or personal) so a link can be e-mailed to join the session
• A notebook and pen

Delegates will need to click on the e-mailed link at least 15 mins
prior to the start time so the course can start promptly

1) If a delegate does not have the necessary IT equipment to participate fully, is late logging on to a session or is unable to participate on the day*, we will ask them to rebook on a future date.

* Please cancel bookings if a delegate is no longer available by logging into CPD Online

2) There will be a requirement for care managers to oversee workbook completion, arrange workplace observations and match new staff with existing care workers to enable shadowing of daily activities

3) Along with this session there are 7 further half day events available - see Event Outcomes below. Each session is a brief introduction to the full Care Certificate training which will be available to re-book when face to face training resumes
