Event Description **This event is for Adult Social Care BCP Council staff only **

Course Aim: A practical session to learn and demonstrate correct hand washing and donning and doffing of PPE (personal protective equipment) in line with latest PHE guidelines. To pass the course the delegate will need to successfully complete a competency assessment carried out by the trainer.

All delegates must have the following to attend the course (the trainer will turn delegates away if they do not have all the equipment):
Prior to booking on this event completed the 30 minute E-learning training and emailed evidence of completion to
2 pairs of gloves
2 Disposable aprons
2 Fluid resistant surgical masks1
Eye protection (goggles or full face visor)
A hair tie if they have long hair & hair pin if they have a fringe

This course will be delivered via Zoom. A Zoom training link email will be sent out to confirmed delegates a few days before the course starts. If they have not received the Zoom training link email before 30 minutes of the advertised start time please contact

* Due to training time constraints and our e-learning training protocol (attached) if a delegate does not have the necessary PPE equipment to participate fully or is late logging on to a session, they will be unable to join and will need to rebook on a future date.

Explain the importance of adequate hydration when wearing PPE.
Demonstrate correct hand washing procedure.
Demonstrate the correct steps for putting on PPE.
Demonstrate the correct steps for removing PPE.
