Event Description For staff to have an awareness of pressure ulcers

This session will be run virtually via ZOOM due to the inability to run face to face courses and can be accessed at work or home.

The following is required in order to fully participate in this session:

An on-line device with web cam/speakers/mic
A reliable broadband/wi-fi connection
A quiet area

Delegates will be emailed a link to join the session closer to the course date.The link will be emailed to the email address that is on their CPD Online account. If the link needs to be emailed to a personal email address, please include this in the ‘Special Requirements' box when requesting a place. Delegates need to allow enough time to log on to be ready for the course to start promptly on time, when it will be locked. Any late arrivals will not be able to enter the training session.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: If you do not have the necessary IT equipment to participate fully, are late logging on to a session or are unable to participate on the day, then please cancel this booking on CPD Online. Please re-book on to a future date. 
Event Outcomes Understand how pressure ulcers form
Understand how to prevent a pressure ulcer forming and use of screening tools including the Waterlow scoring tool
Understand which measures can be put in place to prevent a resident ‘at risk' of developing a pressure ulcer
Demonstrate knowledge of what pressure relieving equipment can be used for ‘at risk' residents
Recognise different grades of pressure ulcers 
Course Cost £ 40 
Event Charges Notes The course fee for Non-Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) staff is £40.00 per delegate. The course is subsidised for staff in BCP Adult Social Care - Services, and Commissioning The course fee for other BCP service units is £40.00 per delegate. IMPORTANT BOOKING AND CANCELLATION INFORMATION If your organisation's terms of payment require a purchase order, please enter the PO number in the box marked ‘Special Requirements' when making your booking. We will charge a full course fee for any booked delegate who gives less than seven calendar days' notice of a cancellation, or who does not attend on the day of the course
