Event Description This half day training (2.5 hours) is for Registered Nurses and carers. It aims to give candidates the knowledge and understanding of how to identify when a client has sepsis and how to respond to the red flags that are presented. 
Event Outcomes Understand what sepsis is
Understand the causes of sepsis
Recognise the red flags for sepsis
Identify normal observation values and how they might differ with infection, and with sepsis
State the actions to take in the event of a person developing sepsis
Understand the importance of acting on the 6 red flags of sepsis and calling the emergency services 
Course Cost £ 30 
Event Charges Notes The course fee for non-Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole (BCP) Council staff is £30 per delegate. The course is subsidised for staff in BCP Adult Social Care Services and Adult Social Care Commissioning. The course fee for other BCP service units is £30 per delegate.
