The Reducing Parental Conflict Programme comprise of four Modules and has been designed to upskill practitioners in supporting parents to reduce conflict within their relationships, whether together or separated. In turn, they can then improve outcomes for their children.

Module 1 is only accessible on-line and will be made available
to you by the company providing the training (Knowledgepool) approximately one week before you attend any of the other modules, assuming we have received your booking several weeks in advance of the course start date. If we have received your booking later than this there may be a delay in arranging access to Module 1.

Module 2: Identify and discuss parental conflict with parents, focusing on the causes of parental conflict, this workshop equips practitioners with the skills to work with parents to identify and explore relationship conflict.Available for all Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole practitioners at thesubsidised rate, who work with children, young people and their families toimprove their outcomes: Including Private, Voluntary and Independent sector, Schools, Health and Local Authority staff.

By the end of this half-day, skills-based workshop,
participants will be able to: -

- Recognise relationship distress at an early stage and when it is potentially

- Support couples experiencing parental conflict and be empowered to act,
report or refer should domestic abuse be disclosed/identified

- Revisit the cultural and societal influences that can lead to parental conflict

- Recognise the role of fathers / male carers in a child's life and understand
the importance of including co-parents in all forms of co-parenting couples

- Build confidence and skills by using effective listening and questioning
techniques to identify and discuss parental conflict triggers

- Understand your role and responsibilities in discussing parental conflict with
parents, to help the front-line practitioner to normalise the initial conversation,
including helping parents to understand the impact of parental conflict on
their children
