Venue notes Parking is available in the Dolphin Shopping Centre Car Park. Delph meeting room is above Poole Central Library (within the Dolphin Centre). If you arrive out of library opening hours please press the buzzer on the left for ' Family and Inclusion Services' and a member of staff will release the door for you. Go into the library and takes the stairs on the left up to Delph meeting room.

The Reducing Parental Conflict Programme comprise of four Modules and has been designed to upskill practitioners in supporting parents to reduce conflict within their relationships, whether together or separated. In turn, they can then improve outcomes for their children.

Module 1 is only accessible on-line and will be made available
to you by the company providing the training (Knowledgepool) approximately one week before you attend any of the other modules, assuming we have received your booking several weeks in advance of the course start date. If we have received your booking later than this there may be a delay in arranging access to Module 1.

Module 3: Working with parents in conflict

This skills-based workshop introduces a series of tools that can be used to work with parents, encouraging behaviour change and promoting positive communication.

By the end of this half-day, skills-based workshop, participants will be able to:

- Identify the level of conflict encountered and describe the most
appropriate support to offer

- Respond appropriately when parental conflict is identified

- Practice how to approach conversations that may arise around distressed

- Know about the available local and national resources available to
support parents whose relationship is in conflict

- Help parents to engage with these services, by being able to describe
what they do and what the evidence shows us about long term outcomes
for children

- Identify when to talk with your manager about possible domestic abuse
and/or child safeguarding situations
